INTO Officiating Umpire Award Course

Date:
Sunday, 4 February 2018
Venue:
Bournside Sports Centre, Warden Hill Rd, Cheltenham GL51 3AU

This course is the first step on the pathway to becoming a qualified INTO Officiating Award-level umpire (i.e. to umpire in divisions 4 of the County League). It replaces the old Beginner Award course.

If you or an umpire you know is interested in taking the first step on the umpiring ladder then it is highly recommended that you/they attend this course, which is now an essential start to the umpiring award pathway.

Perfect for adults and young people (over the age of 13) that want to officiate at local league level or in a school environment. The purpose of this course is:

- To improve your understanding of the rules of netball
- To gain generic umpiring skills
- To provide basic knowledge to undertake umpiring at netball matches
- To enable you to keep an accurate scorecard
- To give you an understanding of the requirements to progress along the officials' pathway

After you have completed the course, you will practise at training sessions and work with a mentor, until you are ready to take the practical assessment.

You must be affiliated to England Netball to attend this course.
