Coaching

The development of qualified coaches at all levels is vital to the promotion of Netball within the county. The new UKCC coaching qualifications (starting at Level 1) are part of the pathway for the development of coaches.

Grants for Coaching Awards

There are grants available from a range of sources within local, district, county councils and the Schools Sports Partnership for coaching awards.

Gloucestershire Netball also offer funding for the UKCC coaching awards scheme.

New UKCC Level 3 Coaching Courses

England Netball is now advertising courses for the new Level 3 Netball Coaching Certificate. The courses will be run on 25th & 26th September 2010, 15th & 16th January 2011, 12th & 13th March 2011 and 9th & 10th April 2011.

The courses will be held at Knowsley Park Centre for Learning, Prescot, Merseyside, L34 3NB.

The closing date is 14th August 2010.

Applicants must have a UKCC Level 2 or equivalent qualification to attend the course. For a full list of requirements and booking forms, visit the England Netball website.

Netball Coach required by Wycliffe College

UKCC Level 2 Coaching course 19/20 June, 17/18 July and 15 August 2010

The next Level 2 UKCC coaching course is to be held on the above dates at Taunton Vale Sports Club, Taunton. Cost is £360 per person.  The course is likely to fill up fast so if interested visit the Netball South West web site and register now! Grants are available for affiliated Gloucestershire members (subject to terms and conditions which are available on request from the Coaching Secretary or Development Officer - see Contact page).
