Hucclecote's under 16 squad travelled to Plymouth on Sunday 17 April for the south west's play-off finals. Although finishing first in the regular league they still had to compete against Jersey's Team Jets, Team Bath and Lawn from Swindon to qualify for the national finals. In a tense competition they won all their matches to be crowned Netball South West under 16 champions, with Team Jets also qualifying as runners-up.
We wish the squad good luck in the National finals to be held in Newcastle on 30 April/1st May.
In order to disseminate information on the rules changes that will affect all matches in Gloucestershire from September 2016, we plan to hold two New Rules Workshops.
These workshops are designed for umpires, coaches and players to learn about the rules changes, how they affect the application of rules and what the changes mean for players.
In addition, attending one of the two workshops will be compulsory for all umpires in the county who wish to continue umpiring from September 2016.
The workshops are currently planned for 7-9pm on Tuesday 7th June and Wednesday 27th July. Further details will be confirmed in due course.

Congratulations to Gloucestershire Netball's Jenna Culley, who recently passed her Netball Europe B Award umpiring qualification.
Jenna travelled to Taunton to officiate in a South West Regional League 2 match between Trident and Premier Romans in January.
After receiving her result Jenna said: "I'm thrilled to have passed and that all the hard work has paid off!"
Jenna has received support and mentoring from Gloucestershire Netball umpiring secretary Barbara Warburton (pictured, left).
Gaining the B award is a fantastic achievement and we look forward to seeing Jenna umpire in the county and further afield, and wish her all the best in what promises to be a successful umpiring career!
