Gloucestershire Netball Schools tournaments

We run the initial county rounds of the National Schools Tournament, for U19, U16 and U14 age groups which take place in the Autumn term. The winners and runners up of all three age groups represent Gloucestershire in the Netball South West regional round of the National Schools Tournament the following January. The winners and runners up from each age group in this round will then represent the South West region in the national finals.

There are 2 separate tournaments at each age group:

- the County Cup for schools with ambition to progress in the National Schools competition. This year we are going indoors at the University of Gloucestershire Arena, Plock Court, Gloucester!

- the Challenge Competition for those whose aim is participation and competition with schools of a similar standard (outdoors at CLC, Well Place, Cheltenham.

The May Dent tournament for the U15 year group is a stand-alone event and held in memory of May Dent, former Chair of the Gloucestershire County Netball Association and Mayor of Cheltenham.

There are also district competitions for U12, U13 and U14 years and primary schools, which are run by local organisers.
